Benny Hinn
The popular (tele) evangelist Toufik Benedictus “Benny” Hinn visited Jakarta in 2010 and held a congregation at Jakarta’s GBK stadium. Thousands of his followers—as well as dozens curious Jakartans —flocked to the sports venue to see him give a sermon, perform spiritual songs and, purportedly, heal the sick.
Life in Congo

Visit to Israel
Four Indonesian journalists visited Israel in 1994 at the invitation of the Office of the Prime Minister, during which they met with senior government officials, including the late PM Yitzak Rabin and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, and leading members of the private sector. A few months earlier Rabin came to Jakarta to meet with President Soeharto in the latter’s capacity as chairman of the NAM.
